This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Lead sophisticated analytics utilizing SQL, SAS, Python, and AI/Gen AI methodologies to identify emerging fraud trends.
• Perform thorough assessments of VRM/FraudGuard rules; suggest improvements to enhance detection precision and minimize false positives.
• Create analytical models, scenario analyses, and predictive strategies to bolster fraud surveillance.
• Advocate for the incorporation of AI/Gen AI tools in fraud detection processes.
• Supervise productivity, SLA compliance, and performance metrics of fraud detection teams across Issuing and Acquiring sectors.
• Execute root cause and gap analyses to identify inefficiencies and propose actionable enhancements.
• Design performance dashboards and scorecards utilizing Power BI and Excel.
• Guarantee timely, precise, and automated Management Information Systems (MIS) for senior leadership, committees, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Present comprehensive, data-driven insights with clear and structured analytical information.
• Uphold high-quality governance standards in data reporting and visualization.
• Spearhead the automation of manual data processes through SQL scripts, macros, workflows, and BI tools.
• Maintain secure and scalable fraud databases, ensuring data governance and integrity.
• Introduce automation capabilities through AI/Gen AI to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and processing speed.
• Collaborate with IT, Business, Product, Compliance, and Operations on fraud-related projects and system enhancements.
• Provide analytical support, project insights, and business cases to senior management.
• Assist in strategic planning, forecasting, and committee reporting through strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related disciplines.
• Certifications in Data Analytics, SQL/SAS/Python, BI Tools, or Fraud Risk are preferred.
• CFE certification is advantageous.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in Fraud Risk Management, Advanced Analytics, MIS, Data Engineering, or Risk Strategy.
• Proven experience leading analytics, automation, or MIS projects in a financial institution, payments business, or risk function.
• Prior experience in rule analytics, fraud systems optimization, or advanced data modeling is highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fraud detection platforms (VRM, FraudGuard, or similar rule engines) with the capacity to analyze, refine, and optimize rules.
• Practical experience in process automation, data pipelines, workflow digitization, ETL concepts, and data warehousing environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality control, and secure database management practices.
• Capability to translate analytical findings into strategic advice for senior management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a professional and succinct manner.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to influence senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
