This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution and continual management of BBYO’s Alumni Mentorship Program, encompassing participant recruitment, onboarding, communications, stewardship, program operations, speaker coordination, evaluation, and participant experience.

• Build and nurture relationships with alumni mentors, speakers, and volunteers to enhance engagement and encourage sustained participation.

• Implement alumni engagement strategies within local communities in collaboration with BBYO’s community-based staff teams, acting as the liaison between alumni and staff.

• Aid in connecting alumni to local teen experiences through mentorship, speaking opportunities, volunteer leadership, and community collaborations.

• Assist in creating systems and processes that facilitate local teams in identifying and engaging alumni in meaningful ways.

• Collaborate across departments to steer the coordination and stewardship of alumni engagement opportunities linked to BBYO immersive experiences, including International Convention, summer programs, and leadership retreats.

• Monitor engagement metrics and maintain organized systems for participant data, communications, and alumni involvement.

• Implement targeted alumni communication strategies across email, newsletters, social media, and digital platforms to enhance engagement and boost participation among key audience groups.

• Contribute to the growth and visibility of the BBYO Alumni Association brand by crafting compelling storytelling and outreach strategies that amplify alumni awareness, affinity, and connection to BBYO’s mission and community.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

• 3-5 years of professional experience in alumni engagement, stakeholder engagement, community engagement, experiential education, nonprofit leadership, or related fields.

• Alumnus/a of BBYO strongly preferred.

• Proven track record in managing and executing complex, relationship-driven programs and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration.

• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with volunteers, lay leaders, alumni, speakers, mentors, and external partners.

• Strong project management and operational leadership skills, capable of handling multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.

• Ability to convert strategic priorities into actionable plans, systems, and high-quality participant experiences.

• Capacity to create scalable programs and processes that foster long-term engagement, communication, and operational efficiency.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and establish trust across constituencies.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, able to anticipate needs, proactively solve problems, and effectively manage ambiguity.

• Experience in utilizing data, feedback, and engagement metrics to inform program enhancements and decision-making.

• Passion for Jewish community, teen leadership development, and BBYO’s mission.

• Highly motivated, creative, and willing to take risks, embodying an entrepreneurial spirit.

• Ability to hold oneself accountable and work independently without regular in-person supervision.

• Flexible and optimistic demeanor; committed to overcoming challenges and comfortable with change and ambiguity.

• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take initiative.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with patience, open-mindedness, humor, and focus.

• Availability to work occasional nights and/or weekends.

• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring a visa or sponsorship.
