Senior Manager – ACAS, Commercial Benefits Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the quality engineering strategy for ACAS benefits testing, in alignment with enterprise TCOE standards.

• Advocate for shift-left quality practices, which include early validation of requirements, benefit configurations, and adjudication logic.

• Establish engineering-driven methods for defect prevention, testability, and quality gates.

• Lead the implementation and growth of automation-first testing for benefits and claims adjudication scenarios.

• Collaborate with automation architects and engineers to create scalable testing frameworks, reusable assets, and data strategies.

• Develop risk-based testing models that concentrate on high-impact benefit configurations and claim scenarios.

• Assist teams in evaluating claim exposure, financial risk, and the implications of defects on members/clients.

• Examine defect trends to uncover systemic issues and propose improvements to upstream processes or designs.

• Establish and track quality KPIs such as defect leakage, automation coverage, test effectiveness, and rework reduction.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, consistency, and results.

• Clearly communicate quality risks, trends, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in healthcare technology or operations.

• More than 5 years in quality engineering, testing leadership, or QA management positions.

• Extensive experience with claims adjudication systems and benefits testing (e.g., ACAS or similar platforms).

• Demonstrated ability to design risk-based and scenario-driven testing strategies.

• Experience in leading teams and influencing quality outcomes among cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
