Senior Mainframe Automation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Address intricate challenges and foresee potential future issues across various platforms and services.

• Manage client systems data and offer daily solutions while ensuring security compliance.

• Supervise an assignment queue and collaborate directly with technicians.

• Prioritize support tickets to provide efficient solutions for clients.

• Suggest modernization alternatives.

• Recognize new business prospects.

• Foster relationships with other teams and stakeholders.

• Maintain and enhance mainframe automation environments.

• Conduct z/OS automation software conversion and transformation.

• Develop integrations between z/OS automation software and other tools or platforms.

• Install, customize, and upgrade GDPS.

• Incorporate new systems into existing GDPS environments.

• Implement, test, and validate Hyperswap.

• Design disaster recovery and high-availability procedures.

• Prepare and verify software and hardware upgrades.

• Create and sustain automated solutions using change and incident management tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of automation tools, including Broadcom OPS/MVS, MainView Auto Operator, IBM AF OPER, and System Automation.

• Profound understanding of REXX programming.

• Experience in maintaining and upgrading systems.

• Expertise in z/OS automation software conversion and transformation.

• Capability to integrate z/OS automation software with z/VM, OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, MainView, ServiceNow, Remedy, Netcool, and other platforms or tools.

• Experience in installing, customizing, and upgrading GDPS.

• Ability to implement, test, and validate Hyperswap.

• Knowledge of disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.

• Proficiency in preparing and validating software and hardware upgrades for mainframes, z/OS, IMS, CICS, DB2, and MQ.

• Familiarity with change and incident management tools.

• Understanding of AI and practical implementation experience.

• Proficient in English and/or Spanish.

• Preferred: experience in mainframe modernization.

• Preferred: mainframe integration with hyperscaler solutions.
