Senior Mainframe Automation, Migration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee migration initiatives from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to IBM SAIOM.

• Set up and implement IBM Systems Automation solutions, focusing on policy-driven automation for z/OS.

• Create and sustain automation rules, REXX executables, and the System Automation Policy Database (PDB).

• Offer installation, configuration, and troubleshooting assistance for IBM automation products.

• Work in conjunction with operations teams to enhance startup, shutdown, recovery, and high-availability automation procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Established experience in mainframe operations and z/OS automation.

• Practical migration experience from Non-IBM / ISV automation tools—particularly CA OPS/MVS and CA Automation Point—to IBM Systems Automation solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS.

• Familiarity with NetView for z/OS and the System Automation Policy Database (PDB).

• Proficient in TSO/ISPF, JCL, and REXX programming.

• Proven experience in installation, configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting related to automation.
