This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Define and enhance the backend architecture of the Magento platform to ensure scalability and optimal performance.
• Offer technical guidance to the backend development team by establishing coding standards, conducting code reviews, and mentoring team members.
• Design and evaluate crucial integrations with external systems such as ERP, payment gateways, fraud prevention, OMS, and PIM.
• Oversee the migration process from Adobe Commerce to Magento Community, ensuring module compatibility while maintaining a zero-downtime approach.
• Diagnose and address high-complexity critical incidents pertaining to infrastructure, performance, and security (PHP-FPM, Nginx, OpenSearch).
• Monitor and enhance the platform utilizing Grafana and Tempo by proactively responding to observability metrics.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner on technical refinement, effort estimations, and assessing the feasibility of the product roadmap.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline (Systems Analysis and Development, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems), IT Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Extensive experience with Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce / Community) and PHP 8.x, applying SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Advanced understanding of API architecture (REST and GraphQL) within the Magento e-commerce context.
• Proficient in infrastructure and performance technologies such as MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ.
• Practical experience with observability and troubleshooting using Grafana, Tempo, and structured log analysis.
• Familiarity with infrastructure environments (Docker, Nginx, PHP-FPM) and a basic understanding of headless architectures (Vue.js).
• Previous experience with strategic migration from Adobe Commerce to Magento Community is preferred.
• Familiarity with Vue.js/Nuxt frontends for decision-making regarding API architecture (Headless Commerce) is preferred.
• Experience in high-volume transactional e-commerce and critical flows (PIX, fraud prevention) is preferred.
• Knowledge of e-commerce security practices (OWASP Top 10, hardening, and suspicious traffic analysis) is preferred.
• Experience with automation and integration tools (n8n, Zapier, or similar) is preferred.
• Adobe Commerce certifications (Developer or Architect) are preferred.
