Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design and develop environments that enable data scientists to create models and manipulate data.

• Engage with customer systems to extract data and integrate it into an analytical framework.

• Acquire knowledge of customer technology environments and systems.

• Establish the deployment strategy and infrastructure for models, ensuring their usability for businesses.

• Uncover the true potential of data by collaborating with data scientists to convert and transform data into suitable formats for actionable machine learning model deployment.

• Collaborate with data scientists to guarantee that solutions are deployable at scale, seamlessly fitting into existing business systems and pipelines, while ensuring maintainability throughout their lifecycle.

• Develop operational testing strategies, and validate and test models in QA, as well as handle implementation, testing, and deployment processes.

• Ensure the quality and reliability of the delivered product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Software Engineer, or Data Engineer.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in deploying data science models in a production environment.

• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, or another modern programming language.

• Ability to design and maintain robust data pipelines utilizing various data sources, programming languages, and toolsets.

• Strong proficiency in SQL with capabilities to write, debug, and optimize distributed SQL queries.

• Experience with Data Science/Machine Learning software and libraries such as h2o, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, etc.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.

• Knowledge of various data source systems (e.g., JMS, Kafka, RDBMS, DWH, MySQL, Oracle, SAP).

• Understanding of network/cloud architecture, operating systems (e.g., Linux), and storage systems (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Cloudera).

• Hands-on experience with core data technologies (e.g., Spark, Pandas).

• Experience in developing APIs and web server applications (e.g., Flask, Django, Spring).

• Comprehensive experience in the software development lifecycle, including design, documentation, and analytical skills; ability to translate business requirements and use cases into solutions, encompassing the ingestion of multiple data sources, ETL processing, data access, and custom analytics.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills; prior experience working with both internal and external customers.
