This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, build, and oversee resilient data pipelines for the training, validation, and ongoing retraining of Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) and agentic frameworks.
• Create, implement, and rigorously evaluate innovative ML models and algorithms, establishing suitable metrics to ensure that model performance aligns with overarching product goals.
• Aid in the process of cleaning, transforming, and engineering features from intricate and extensive datasets to enhance LQM performance and predictive accuracy.
• Perform in-depth analysis of model behavior, performance, and failure modes, adjusting hyper-parameters and optimizing model architecture for efficiency, speed, and accuracy in a production setting.
• Work collaboratively with AI researchers, product managers, and software engineers to convert high-level business goals into actionable ML development and deployment plans.
• Advocate for and uphold exceptional engineering standards regarding code quality, system efficiency, and security within a prototyping environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in software development post-graduation.
• Proven experience in developing highly available, performant, and scalable ML systems, including large-scale data processing pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python (including the ML stack: PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, Pandas).
• Extensive and successful experience managing the complete ML lifecycle, from initial data exploration and hypothesis testing to architecture, model training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Deep knowledge of MLOps and software best practices, encompassing CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking (e.g., Weights & Biases, MLflow), automated testing, and version control for both code and datasets.
