Senior Low Voltage/ICT Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Create designs for ICT and network infrastructure systems, which encompass structured cabling (both fiber and copper) and telecommunications pathways.

• Develop diagrams for LAN/WAN topologies, as well as logical network layouts and physical infrastructure designs.

• Generate comprehensive deliverables that include construction drawings, cable routing, and pathway layouts.

• Design passive infrastructure, incorporating fiber backbone systems, copper cabling, and configurations for cross-connect/ODF.

• Assist in the design of infrastructure systems for data centers serving enterprise, colocation, and mission-critical facilities.

• Prepare all design documents and deliverables utilizing the Autodesk software suite, particularly Revit (MEP).

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICT or structured cabling design, or network infrastructure design.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.

• RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification is mandatory.

• Familiarity with network architecture and the principles of infrastructure design.

• Experience with or knowledge of data center environments.

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Understanding of structured cabling systems (fiber and copper), telecommunications spaces, pathways, and compliance with BICSI, TIA/EIA standards (including TIA-568).

• Capacity to collaborate effectively in a team setting with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers.

• Ability to produce design documentation that is clear, accurate, and well-coordinated.

• Strong organizational abilities and collaboration skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
