This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assist in broadening access to funding for affordable housing developers within the Housing Partnership Network.

• Foster strong relationships with borrowers and identify new lending prospects.

• Execute preliminary underwriting and facilitate the progression of transactions from initial opportunity to term sheet completion.

• Influence the early stages of deals by evaluating opportunities and structuring transactions effectively.

• Conduct initial underwriting for commercial real estate transactions related to affordable housing.

• Draft and finalize term sheets based on an initial assessment of borrowers.

• Aid in updating loan policies and enhancing credit memorandum templates.

• Collaborate with the Asset and Portfolio Management team as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, real estate, urban planning, or business development is mandatory.

• Two to eight years of experience in commercial real estate lending with a focus on affordable housing.

• Capability to manage borrower relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Demonstrated success in lending, including achieving production goals and utilizing sales tools in a systematic manner.

• Experience in credit analysis and creating term sheets for underwriting purposes.

• Strong financial analysis capabilities, particularly in assessing nonprofit developers and the viability of real estate development projects.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, collaborative, adaptable, and proactive.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Solid working knowledge of Salesforce.
