Senior Liability Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee mid to complex Auto and/or General Liability claims, covering bodily injury and property damage.

• Manage litigated cases using assigned authority and adhere to company best practices.

• Receive claims, verify policy coverage, and acknowledge claims.

• Assess the validity and compensability of claims.

• Investigate and manage Auto and/or General Liability claims effectively.

• Set reserves and authorize payments in accordance with reserving authority limits.

• Update customers, claimants, and clients on claim status.

• Follow client and carrier guidelines and participate in claims reviews as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with team members on complex or challenging claims.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing General Liability claims, including those with high exposure and/or litigated cases.

• At least two (2) years’ experience handling Auto Liability claims.

• A valid Adjuster’s License in the state of operation is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience is required.

• A Multi-State license is preferred.

• Experience with municipalities is an advantage.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to learn quickly and acquire claims-practice knowledge.

• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues effectively.

• Proficiency in computer skills and technical capabilities.

• Competence in using Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets.

• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Capability to meet or surpass performance expectations.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
