This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.
• Evaluate claim images to ensure proper routing and handling.
• Locate member information within Cigna systems and update database fields to direct items to correspondence or appeals.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures to facilitate accurate processing and automation.
• Utilize multiple computer applications concurrently and navigate systems with efficiency.
• Recognize discrepancies, errors, or missing information.
• Achieve or surpass quality, production, and KPI benchmarks.
• Complete thorough training, which includes virtual classroom sessions, on-the-job learning, feedback, and progressively increasing productivity and quality expectations.
• Meet set accuracy, volume, and production metrics following training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and precision.
• Capability to manage various tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to efficiently navigate multiple computer applications, including the use of keyboard shortcuts.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Solid customer service orientation, integrity, and personal accountability.
• Capacity to learn about benefit plans, systems, applications, and job-specific processes.
• Ability to type and utilize a keyboard for extended durations.
• Preferred experience in health insurance processing or related fields.
• Skill to work independently with strong self-discipline, accountability, and consistent follow-through.
• Capability to effectively engage in a virtual work environment using Outlook, Teams, and other collaboration tools.
• Willingness to accept feedback, adapt to changes, and implement coaching.
• For remote work, a cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
