📋 Description

• Designing and constructing levels while heavily iterating through playtesting, offering, and implementing feedback.

• Collaborating with the art department to guarantee that levels achieve top visual standards while maintaining gameplay enjoyment, as well as working with design and code teams to enhance map fun and integrate new features into the developed levels.

• Taking complete ownership from initial design through the whitebox stage, scripting, iteration, debugging, and optimization until the game is released.

• Managing or overseeing the efforts of established Strike Teams.

• Identifying and fixing bugs, as well as documenting case studies in the knowledge base.

• Sharing expertise and insights with less experienced colleagues.

• Occasionally assisting the Lead with recruitment initiatives in collaboration with HR.

• Occasionally onboarding new team members.

• Spending 80% of the time working within the Engine.


⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 5+ years of professional experience in level design.

• Typically at least one successfully shipped AAA title on PC or console.

• Proficient in level design practices and theories (chokepoints, routes, lines of sight, engagement distances).

• Experience working within the shooter genre.

• Capability to process, comprehend, and apply feedback effectively.

• Strong grasp of creative and game development processes.

• Knowledge of UE4 or 5 and full proficiency in Unreal Engine Editor.

• Competency with Atlassian software (JIRA, Confluence).

• Self-motivated individual.

• Excellent mentoring abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Nice to have: Experience with scripting languages and an understanding of programming paradigms and concepts.

• Familiarity with Maya, 3DS Max, or a similar 3D software package.

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5.

• Knowledge of Unreal Blueprint.
