This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with game design, art, engineering, and production teams to support and execute the established creative vision.
• Operate within production timelines and constraints, iteratively implementing level content while communicating potential risks and dependencies.
• Design and construct levels from start to finish, encompassing layout, combat areas, traversal elements, pacing, player flow, and objective placement.
• Develop engaging multiplayer environments that accommodate diverse combat scenarios, player strategies, and ensure balanced gameplay.
• Script and implement gameplay events, encounters, objectives, triggers, and environmental interactions.
• Test, debug, and refine levels, addressing issues related to navigation, combat balance, player flow, readability, progression, and edge cases.
• Respond to feedback and enhance layouts, combat areas, and pacing.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of core gameplay systems and adjust layouts to cater to various playstyles, team dynamics, and systemic gameplay.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in game development, with a focus on level design for action, multiplayer, or combat-centric games.
• Experience in shipping at least one title, preferably a multiplayer action or third-person game.
• Familiarity with the entire content lifecycle from implementation to polish.
• Practical experience with Unreal Engine 5, including in-engine level editing tools, Blueprint scripting, and gameplay workflows.
• Proficiency in building, implementing, debugging, and iterating on gameplay spaces.
• Capability to work independently, manage tasks, incorporate feedback, and overcome implementation challenges.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across design, art, engineering, audio, and production teams.
• Strong understanding of combat space design, player navigation, encounter pacing, gameplay readability, and multiplayer level flow.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada and currently residing within Canada.
