Senior Level Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conducts a comprehensive and final review of tax returns to address U.S. tax requirements and compliance for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates, including general advisory services (e.g., 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041, 990, 5500), tax projections and planning, tax notices, etc.

• Provides complete preparation of tax returns as necessary or when not engaged in reviewing or managing (e.g., 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041, 990, 5500).

• Undertakes ad-hoc projects related to clients or internal firm initiatives, offering guidance to small business owners on tax compliance, recordkeeping, and other pertinent issues as required.

• Effectively manages their own workload as well as that of staff, tracking deliverables independently and identifying further advisory opportunities with existing clients.

• Maintains ongoing communication with clients and oversees client relationship management as necessary.

• Supervises professional accounting and bookkeeping services provided by staff to business owners, executives, and independent professionals, primarily utilizing QuickBooks Online.

• Assists in the operational development of the PH accounting team through the creation of additional training materials, process documentation, onboarding of new team members, special projects, etc.

• Gathers ideas and feedback while collaborating with colleagues in the U.S. and PH to enhance PH team operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an Advanced degree (preferred).

• CPA or Enrolled Agent designation is beneficial.

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates.

• Experience in fund accounting services or any accounting services involving U.S. tax preparation is preferred.

• Open to newly certified CPA candidates, provided they possess a robust academic background and demonstrate solid foundational accounting knowledge.

• A proactive “Doer” who is willing to roll up their sleeves.

• Hands-on approach, not a delegator for deliverables, reports, and tools.

• Experience with Ultra Tax with Onvio or familiarity with CCH is preferred.

• Required expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.

• Technologically savvy and proficient in MS Office tools.

• Strong communication abilities to effectively share ideas and feedback with colleagues in the U.S. and PH.

• Willingness to continuously learn and ask questions when needed.

• Organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables, meet deadlines, and translate ideas into executable solutions.
