Senior Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Review, draft, negotiate, and provide guidance on a diverse array of commercial contracts, including strategic partnerships, integrations, client services, and vendor agreements.

• Work closely with stakeholders across the ecosystem to ensure that contracts align with the protocol’s overarching goals and initiatives.

• Assist in contract management, negotiation workflows, and risk assessment procedures.

• Offer practical legal counsel on new opportunities, ecosystem initiatives, product integrations, and commercial collaborations.

• Actively identify, analyze, and mitigate legal risks while balancing commercial opportunities with effective risk management.

• Support the creation of legal frameworks that enhance the resilience and scalability of the Lido ecosystem.

• Participate in thought leadership activities related to decentralized protocols, open-source ecosystems, and legal innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house, with substantial exposure to complex commercial transactions.

• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide array of commercial contracts.

• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to make practical, risk-based decisions in a dynamic environment.

• Capability to work independently and proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and advance matters efficiently.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance.

• Comfortable collaborating with decentralized teams, open-source initiatives, or protocol-based ecosystems.

• A demonstrated interest in cryptocurrencies, DeFi, decentralized governance, or open-source ecosystems is preferred.

• Proficiency in Russian is strongly preferred, as the role will require handling Russian-language documentation and collaborating with Russian-speaking counterparts and contributors.
