Senior Lead Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Write, review, and deliver production code — this position is hands-on and will remain so as the team expands.

• Design features across the entire stack, primarily utilizing TypeScript, along with Ruby components.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to convert supplier challenges into scalable solutions.

• Assist in developing the Mexico pod: engage in hiring, onboarding, and cultivating team culture from day one.

• Promote a high-velocity delivery culture — focusing on small iterations, continuous deployment, and regular releases.

• Drive decisions based on data: measure feature performance, analyze results, and direct future development.

• Actively utilize AI-powered development tools — we are proactive adopters, and we anticipate our engineers will be as well.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with robust full-stack knowledge and extensive proficiency in TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks, in addition to hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (including Claude Code).

• Understanding of various architectural methods, such as monoliths, microservices, and micro-frontends.

• Strong foundation in agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps culture.

• Demonstrated success in enhancing engineering standards through code reviews, mentorship, and leading by example, along with experience in hiring and team development.

• Excellent communication skills across distributed, multicultural teams, comfort with ambiguity, a proactive approach, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
