Senior Lead, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive data science solutions, covering everything from data extraction to the deployment and monitoring of machine learning models.

• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to guarantee that clean, structured data is accessible for analysis and predictive modeling.

• Create and execute sophisticated machine learning models, including regression, classification, and clustering techniques, to forecast workforce requirements and identify skill shortages.

• Build APIs to incorporate machine learning models into enterprise applications and workflows, facilitating real-time decision-making.

• Maintain data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across various platforms by closely coordinating with data governance teams to harmonize processes.

• Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to convert complex analytical insights into actionable business recommendations for HR, business leaders, and other stakeholders.

• Apply optimization algorithms to propose actions such as hiring, training, or workforce engagement based on model outputs and business constraints.

• Regularly monitor model performance and enhance processes for model efficiency and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• 5-8 years of experience as a data scientist with an emphasis on full-stack data science, including model construction, deployment, and API development.

• Proficient in Python, R, or similar programming languages for statistical modeling and machine learning.

• Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Strong skills in SQL and familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and the integration of machine learning models into business applications.

• Solid understanding of optimization algorithms, data architecture, and performance monitoring.

• Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings as actionable business insights.

• Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
