Senior Java/Kotlin Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Collaborative Product Leadership: You will forge a strong alliance with Product Managers and Designers to convert user needs into cutting-edge technical solutions.

• Take the Lead: You will take full ownership of your features from inception to release (and beyond). You are empowered to make decisions and trusted to prioritize the best interests of the product.

• Build Smart, Ship Fast: We deploy to production approximately 70 times a week. You will assist in maintaining this pace by balancing speed, quality, and business impact.

• Be a Partner: You offer strong opinions, supported by experience, and you are unafraid to challenge the status quo when it is justified.

• AI-Augmented Craft: You are either curious about or already utilizing tools such as Cursor, Gemini, or Claude Code.

• Knowledge Multiplier: As a senior member of the team, you will guide the team through the evolving AI landscape. You will share best practices on prompt engineering, AI-driven refactoring, and upholding a high "quality bar" in an automated environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bring 6+ years of professional software development experience, including an initial role within a product-driven company (SaaS, fintech, marketplace, etc.).

• Exhibit deep expertise in Java or Kotlin, with the ability to navigate complex backend architectures, APIs, and data models confidently.

• Product-First Champion: You think beyond coding, fueled by curiosity about the user's motivations. You proactively suggest enhancements and advocate for comprehensive feature ownership from conception to delivery.

• Pragmatic Architect: You guide architectural choices, applying patterns such as Hexagonal Architecture for modularity and testing. You adeptly balance long-term scalability with the necessity for rapid iteration.

• AI Empowerment: You see AI as a means of acceleration, effectively assigning routine tasks to tools while remaining the strategic "Pilot" responsible for quality, integrity, and avoiding architectural drift.

• Full Lifecycle Stewardship: You oversee the entire feature lifecycle, from establishing CI/CD and testing to ensuring observability and monitoring. Shipping is merely the beginning; you are committed to quality, longevity, and scalable performance.

• Fluent in English, you are at ease communicating in both spoken and written forms in an English-speaking environment.
