Senior Java Software Engineer – Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will engage in consulting for intriguing and challenging client projects.

• You will be responsible for developing and owning Java-based applications utilizing Spring Boot, overseeing everything from architecture to production operations.

• Your work will involve modern, well-structured architectures.

• You will actively participate in coding and take accountability for the quality, maintainability, and stability of the code.

• You will play a key role in technical decision-making and clearly communicate these decisions both internally and to clients.

• You will work independently or collaboratively with colleagues on client projects, serving as a competent point of contact.

• Close collaboration with fellow consultants, developers, and architects will be essential to your role.

• Depending on the project, you may occasionally work on-site with clients, though the majority of your work will be conducted remotely.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT consulting across a diverse range of clients.

• Several years of up-to-date experience in Java, with at least 3 years focused on Spring Boot.

• A passion for clean architecture and contemporary software design methodologies.

• The ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly and systematically.

• A consistent CV showcasing predominantly long-term positions.

• A clear motivation for seeking permanent employment (not suited for freelancers).

• A team player with a responsible and professional attitude.

• Willingness to travel for occasional on-site assignments.

• Experience with cloud-based microservice architectures is desirable but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure.

• Full-stack experience, such as with Angular or React.

• Experience in BPM/process automation (e.g., Camunda).

• An interest in AI-based solutions.
