Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create and implement clean, scalable, and testable Java-based backend systems with minimal guidance.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including those in backend, web, mobile, QA, and product domains.

• Assume responsibility for specific services or functional areas within our extensive architectural framework.

• Integrate AI tools and assistants as essential components of your development process—from system design to code evaluation.

• Aid in maintaining high levels of test coverage, reliable production performance, and effortless scalability.

• Promote engineering excellence through contemporary methodologies and a commitment to continuous enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant production experience with Java and its associated ecosystem.

• Strong grasp of relational database principles (preferably PostgreSQL) and messaging concepts (ideally Kafka).

• Proficient in system design, troubleshooting, and debugging.

• Comfortable and proactive in utilizing AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) to enhance productivity.

• Hands-on experience in validating, refining, and owning AI-generated outputs.

• Upper-intermediate or advanced proficiency in English.
