Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop clean, maintainable, and test-covered code while collaborating with our product team.

• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and business rules, while also considering performance, security, and the impact on other features or projects, all communicated in a respectful and constructive manner.

• Collaborate with your team to establish and document standards and practices in software development.

• Investigate and propose multiple alternative technical solutions whenever feasible.

• Take full ownership of the delivery of team projects from start to finish.

• Oversee the technical documentation within your team.

• Engage in the hiring process by conducting tech fit interviews and reviewing technical challenges.

• Leverage engineering skills within a business context to create significant business impact by analyzing problems from an operational perspective.

• Proactively identify gaps, issues, and needs, and develop effective solutions with a degree of autonomy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Java backend development.

• Strong expertise in Spring Boot.

• Significant experience with Apache Kafka.

• Proficiency in Hibernate and MySQL 8.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, GitLab, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Harness).

• Understanding of microservice architecture.

• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level.
