Senior Java Developer – Microservices

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of critical production issues by reviewing logs, metrics, and data trends.

• Offer practical solutions during critical failures by assessing alternative workflows to ensure business continuity.

• Oversee and enhance applications operating across various platforms.

• Maintain and upgrade existing systems as necessary.

• Implement new computer systems and frameworks in production.

• Automate tedious and manual production processes.

• Create scripts to monitor systems and establish alert mechanisms.

• Develop new programs and cloud-ready APIs (AWS) using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring.

• Create new ESB, CAF, and BPM projects utilizing the webMethods product suite.

• Ensure seamless integration of new APIs and developed code with legacy systems and AWS.

• Diagnose, debug, troubleshoot, and resolve errors in applications and APIs.

• Construct a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) pipeline for deployment to on-premise servers, Docker, and AWS.

• Effectively convey technical information and concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Leads, and the IT team to provide expert advice on technical issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in core technologies including Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot API, and Microservices Architecture.

• Familiarity with CICD concepts, Jenkins, Docker, and containerization methodologies.

• Comfortable working with Linux and Windows servers and capable of utilizing Linux/Unix commands.

• Experience in scripting with Python and Shell scripts.

• Knowledge of webMethods components such as ESB, CAF, and BPM.

• Understanding of cloud computing, API gateways, and AWS.

• Possession of AWS Developer or Solution Architect Certification.
