Senior Java Developer – Business Automation, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain decision services utilizing Drools (DRL);

• Transition legacy workflows to cloud-native Kogito microservices.

• Construct and oversee AWS Bedrock Knowledge Bases to facilitate precise, context-aware AI responses.

• Generate automated pipelines to extract, cleanse, and transform legacy documentation into optimized formats (Markdown/vector-ready), stored in Amazon S3.

• Create secure, high-performance REST APIs using Quarkus or Spring Boot to integrate chatbot functionalities into Java applications.

• Deploy and scale business automation services within Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance decision accuracy, performance, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional Java experience (versions 8/11/17+) with Spring Boot or Quarkus.

• Practical experience in writing/debugging Drools rules and implementing DMN (Decision Model and Notation).

• Demonstrated expertise with Kogito for cloud-native business processes.

• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock (Knowledge Bases, Agents, and/or prompt engineering).

• Strong understanding of Amazon S3 for document storage and metadata tagging.

• Experience in converting legacy HTML/XML documentation into structured formats (Markdown/JSON) for AI applications.

• Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
