Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable and testable backend solutions, managing the process from requirements gathering to production deployment.

• Take ownership of services from start to finish and guide intricate features through the entire development lifecycle.

• Integrate third-party services based on both business and technical specifications.

• Work in close collaboration with Backend, Frontend, QA, and Infrastructure teams.

• Engage in architecture discussions and assist in shaping the technical roadmap.

• Provide mentorship to team members on best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and system design.

• Monitor, profile, and enhance application and database performance.

• Design and implement high-load performance testing scenarios.

• Handle complex SQL tasks and optimize performance utilizing PostgreSQL.

• Manage large-scale datasets with an emphasis on scalability and reliability.

• Diagnose production issues using logs, metrics, alerts, and monitoring tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive commercial experience with Java Core and the Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

• Demonstrated experience in designing scalable systems utilizing RDBMS and SQL.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Solid understanding of JSON, JWT, HTTP(S), REST APIs, and WebSockets.

• Hands-on experience with Netty and non-blocking I/O.

• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, profiling, and alerting tools.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

• Good grasp of system security best practices.

• Intermediate English proficiency or higher for effective international collaboration.

• Experience with high-load systems and performance optimization.

• Knowledge of technologies such as Kafka, GCP, Elasticsearch, Flyway, Grafana, and Kubernetes-based environments.
