Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Participate in the implementation of solution code with a strong focus on detail while adhering to Java development best practices.

• Develop reusable and testable code, and produce functional and practical technical documentation.

• Collaborate closely with team members and the client to execute designs – we are building a product from the ground up, necessitating direct communication with client management.

• Proactively identify and address technical challenges and risks that may affect project timelines and the integrity of the application environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in the IT field.

• In-depth knowledge of Java Core, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Object-Oriented Design (OOD), and design patterns.

• Practical experience with the Spring Framework (including IoC and templates) and ORM/Hibernate (specifically Spring Data JPA).

• Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).

• Solid understanding of microservice architecture patterns.

• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.

• Familiarity with message brokers, especially Kafka.

• Practical experience with AI tools, including using Large Language Models (LLMs) for coding support, integrating AI APIs, or developing AI-driven features — beyond mere awareness to regular application.

• Background in the fintech or banking sectors, with knowledge of financial processes, compliance requirements, or payment systems.

• Proficient in English at an upper-intermediate level or higher — capable of clearly and concisely conveying ideas, designs, and documentation.

• Preferred: Experience with Vault for secrets management; familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
