Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable backend systems utilizing Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Develop and manage microservices and RESTful APIs to enhance business functionalities.

• Implement data access mechanisms using Spring Data and JPA with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Leverage messaging queues like Kafka and RabbitMQ for inter-service communication.

• Write unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito to uphold code quality.

• Ensure application security and performance by adhering to best practices.

• Assist in establishing CI/CD pipelines utilizing Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define and deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Monitor systems using tools such as New Relic.

• Strong expertise in Java and associated frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot).

• Comprehensive understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

• Proficient in CI/CD methodologies and tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to design effective solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Proactive mindset.

• Fundamental knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming, and problem-solving techniques.

• Awareness of design patterns, clean code principles, and industry best practices.

• Understanding of various testing concepts (regression, smoke, stress, unit, integration, automation, e2e, etc.).
