Senior Java Backend Engineer – Multiple Positions Open

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable backend applications utilizing Java and the Spring Framework.

• Ensure optimal performance and availability of applications within a microservices architecture.

• Collaborate with product managers to comprehend requirements, verify technical feasibility, and convert them into robust, scalable solutions.

• Engage in software engineering ceremonies to design and model intricate applications.

• Define private and public APIs for a premier product.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to backend development best practices.

• Create high-quality technical documentation to effectively convey backend architecture and API design, facilitating easy understanding and efficient cross-team collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 8 years of proven professional experience in backend development with Java.

• Expertise in the Spring Framework.

• Strong background in code reviews and management of CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth, JWT, or SAML.

• Familiarity with version control systems and project management tools, particularly Git and GitHub.

• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, possessing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Previous experience in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment (or similar).

• Willingness to travel as needed to collaborate with the team.

• Fluent in Portuguese.
