Senior Java Backend Developer – AI Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and deploy robust and scalable software solutions utilizing Java;

• Design, optimize, and maintain resilient and scalable RESTful APIs;

• Architect and implement solutions based on microservices;

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp project requirements and convert them into technical solutions;

• Diagnose and resolve intricate performance and security challenges;

• Conduct code reviews, pinpoint improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance with coding standards;

• Partner with software architects to establish standards and best practices;

• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning;

• Engage in the creation of business-focused Artificial Intelligence solutions, which includes integrating with AI APIs, processing data for insights, automating analyses, and developing features based on predictive or generative models—while always ensuring scalability, optimization, security, and integration with the microservices architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java (Java 8+) and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security);

• Proficient in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) as well as NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis);

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ);

• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes);

• Practical experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar;

• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and version control systems (Git);

• Bachelor’s degree (completed);

• Intermediate proficiency in English is preferred.
