This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Assist the Program Manager in daily client coordination, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and management of deliverables; serve as deputy or backup when required.
• Aid in the strategic planning activities of IT Asset Management (ITAM), encompassing the analysis of program goals, objectives, operational models, performance measures, areas for improvement, and considerations for implementation.
• Contribute to the development of ITAM governance and policy documentation, which includes governance framework materials, program governance plans, governance charters, matrices of roles and responsibilities, standards, procedures, and guidance documents.
• Perform analyses of ITAM policies, processes, organizational structures, operational workflows, compliance requirements, and current capabilities to identify gaps, risks, and provide recommendations.
• Assist in creating schedules for hardware asset management and software asset management, along with strategic roadmaps, operational plans, and related planning materials.
• Support IT governance and compliance evaluations, policy gap analyses, activities for audit readiness, and documentation necessary for internal or external reviews.
• Generate, review, and maintain essential program artifacts, including work breakdown structures, schedules, risk and issue management plans, risk registers, stakeholder communication plans, stakeholder registers, status reports, action item trackers, and meeting materials.
• Monitor program milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, action items, decisions, and stakeholder contributions to facilitate timely and transparent execution.
• Create clear, precise, and well-organized reports, briefings, summaries, meeting materials, and communications for government and contractor leadership.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders, contractor team members, analysts, and subject matter experts to gather information, validate inputs, resolve inquiries, and assist in deliverable development.
• Preserve project documentation and knowledge repositories to ensure continuity, traceability, auditability, and knowledge transfer.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in supporting federal IT, program management, business analysis, management consulting, governance, or strategic planning projects.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing, or maintaining client-ready strategic plans, governance materials, policy documentation, reports, briefings, schedules, trackers, or program artifacts.
• Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to evaluate information, identify issues, synthesize findings, and propose practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce executive-level documentation and briefing materials.
• Experience coordinating with various stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Power BI, and ServiceNow.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in supporting programs for the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal civilian agencies.
• Background in supporting IT Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, IT governance, IT service management, enterprise IT operations, or IT modernization programs.
• Experience in audit readiness, compliance reviews, and responses to oversight from GAO, OIG, Congressional, or other entities.
• Familiarity with federal IT governance, compliance, risk management, policy development, and reporting requirements.
• Experience in crafting or supporting strategic planning reports, governance frameworks, operational models, roadmaps, risk registers, stakeholder communication plans, and monthly program status reports.
• Experience in process improvement, workflow analysis, or operational enhancement initiatives.
• Experience working in remote delivery environments with teams that are geographically dispersed.
