This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Deliver daily IT assistance to team members and contractors through a support queue, acting as the main contact for IT operations.
• Take charge of and execute a thorough asset management program that encompasses endpoint devices, virtual infrastructure, cloud assets, domains, certificates, and IoT devices.
• Create and uphold a defined, regular inventory reconciliation process utilizing discovery tools (e.g., Torii, MDM) to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee the software license lifecycle, including monitoring, renewals, and planning for disposition.
• Implement, configure, and sustain endpoint management solutions, with a strong emphasis on macOS and Jamf.
• Manage and support essential SaaS platforms such as Okta, Salesforce, and MDM tools.
• Assist in onboarding applications for contractors and new hires.
• Contribute to the definition and documentation of IT Support policies, including scope, service levels, escalation procedures, and controls for separation of duties.
• Ensure that job functions and access privileges are clearly linked to control responsibilities and documented as necessary.
• Develop scripts and automate processes (using Python or TypeScript) to minimize manual IT tasks, enforce controls, and enhance operational efficiency; refine and improve existing IT bots.
• Collaborate with application and software engineers to foster continuous improvement, automation, and system upgrades.
• Assist in the development and upkeep of IT policies and standard operating procedures that align with regulatory and audit standards.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT operations, preferably in a dynamic tech startup; experience in fintech, banking*, or compliance-related fields is highly desirable due to regulatory considerations.
• Proven knowledge of IT internal controls, including separation of duties, management of access privileges, and requirements for audit trails.
• High proficiency in macOS is essential; familiarity with Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android is beneficial.
• Practical experience with Jamf, Kandji, or similar MDM platforms.
• Experience managing extensive asset inventories beyond endpoints, including virtual infrastructure, SaaS, and unconventional assets.
• Proficiency with IAM, MDM, and SaaS management tools.
• Understanding of IAM concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong programming experience in Python or TypeScript is preferred.
• Familiarity with standard security and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO) and their application to operational controls.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach, a sense of ownership, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-accountability settings.
