Senior iOS Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take on a leadership role at Airbnb by utilizing AI to transform and enhance Quality Engineering.

• Assist us in overcoming challenges by establishing and maintaining automation coverage for features and releases.

• Collaborate directly with the product engineering team to create and sustain our testing tools, write and evaluate product code, participate in design reviews to architect testable systems, and guide design and coding efforts to improve modularity and testability.

• Utilize AI and tools to spearhead the development of a test automation strategy, encompassing the entire testing pyramid (unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing) to validate feature functionality for customer scenarios.

• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage for features and releases, while actively engaging in the ongoing enhancement of testing processes.

• Play a role in refining existing automation frameworks to accommodate new functionalities and enhance quality and efficiency.

• Partner with the CI/CD team to embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring thorough test coverage at every development stage.

• Exhibit exceptional troubleshooting skills, isolate issues, and confirm bug resolutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and other QE teams, in a dynamic environment with rapid release cycles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software testing and automation.

• Proven expertise in Swift and XCUITest.

• Strong practical experience with automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Buildkite, Spinnaker, Jenkins) and version control systems (Git).

• Excellent communication abilities to facilitate interactions with cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in developing solutions to ambiguous challenges, and integrating across multiple teams with considerable impact.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or a related field.
