Senior Investment Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.

📋 Description

• Assist in the progression of an established portfolio of off-grid solar investment prospects.

• Oversee and synchronize due diligence processes across commercial, financial, and impact sectors.

• Create and enhance financial models to support ongoing transactions, incorporating scenario and risk assessments.

• Draft high-quality investment memoranda and credit documentation for review by the Investment Committee.

• Aid in monitoring the portfolio and tracking performance across current investments.

• Contribute to internal updates regarding pipeline status, associated risks, and fund performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or impact investing.

• Successful history of executing transactions, including due diligence and deal structuring.

• Familiarity with renewable energy and/or infrastructure investments.

• Experience in emerging or frontier markets.

• Academic qualifications in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related discipline.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.

• Strong investment acumen in high-risk, emerging market situations.

• Capability to evaluate credit risk, scalability, and commercial viability of early-stage enterprises.

• Experience in incorporating impact factors into investment decision processes.

• Ability to navigate regulatory, political, and operational challenges effectively.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

• Clear and organized communication skills, including the development of investment narratives.

• High level of ownership and the ability to work independently within small teams.
