Senior Interactive Motion Designer – Rive, Web Animation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and construct engaging vector animation systems in Rive, incorporating state machines, pointer/touch listeners, bone-driven elements, data binding, and real-time responsiveness.

• Produce high-quality motion graphics and video assets in After Effects, ensuring perfect transparency, reversible timelines, loopable sequences, and web-optimized exports (ProRes 4444, WebM, etc.).

• Create minimalist line-art animations that gradually evolve into more organic, lifelike motion while preserving a unified visual language.

• Develop interactions that respond to cursor and touch input (subtle repulsion, attraction, sway, micro-movements) that are both natural and enjoyable.

• Design and enhance multi-layer experiences combining dynamic backgrounds, transparent video, and interactive vector overlays operating at 60 fps without visual conflicts.

• Establish motion design systems that perform seamlessly in both light and dark modes, utilizing a restrained grayscale palette complemented by a consistent accent color.

• Collaborate daily with front-end developers on integration, event handling, responsive behavior, and performance optimization within Angular components.

• Optimize all deliverables for file size, loading speed, and cross-device performance (desktop, tablet, mobile touch).

• Provide clean, well-documented source files, export settings, and technical guidance to facilitate smooth implementation by the engineering team.

• Offer strategic insights on how motion design can enhance user engagement, brand perception, and conversion on critical marketing pages.

• Optionally create lightweight Canvas or Three.js fallbacks as necessary.

• Work remotely from the Philippines with a minimum of 3–4 hours overlap with US Eastern Time on most days.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in motion graphics with a strong emphasis on interactive web animation.

• Expert-level proficiency in Rive.app (state machines, pointer listeners, data binding, bones, web exports).

• Advanced skills in After Effects with a proven track record in transparent video, alpha channels, reversible playback, and web-optimized exports.

• Strong vector illustration capabilities in Adobe Illustrator or Figma.

• In-depth understanding of web performance, responsive design, layering, and front-end integration.

• A portfolio showcasing minimalist line-art animation that transitions into more organic motion, along with interactive/cursor-responsive projects.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Comfortable working remotely from the Philippines with at least 3–4 hours overlap with US Eastern Time on most days.

• Experience collaborating with a US-based team and adhering to documented processes.

• Nice-to-have (Preferred):

• Experience with US-based clients, particularly in professional services, consulting, IT, or related fields.

• Familiarity with Three.js, Canvas API, or GSAP as complementary or fallback solutions.

• Prior experience with marketing hero sections, interactive landing pages, or Rive-powered web experiences.

• Understanding of Angular component integration for Rive or similar libraries.

• Knowledge of light/dark mode theming in motion design.
