This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Negotiate with state and federal regulatory bodies to secure policy and certificate approvals for insurance products.
• Assist in the implementation and upkeep of compliant insurance policies and certificates.
• Contribute to departmental strategy and make decisions regarding the management of technical aspects for complex project elements.
• Develop and maintain the language for group policies and certificates to align with product initiatives and regulatory standards.
• Raise awareness of current regulatory matters and ensure compliance with policy forms.
• Monitor and assess regulatory requirements, offering consultative advice.
• Facilitate discussions with operational and compliance teams.
• Prepare standard policy and certificate forms for regulatory submissions.
• Research and address regulatory objections and inquiries.
• Conduct quality reviews for policy and certificate forms as well as other related materials.
• Recommend and support process enhancements to optimize efficiency.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated product lines.
• Conduct research and present findings related to contract language or competitor filings.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare or insurance compliance role.
• At least 5 years of experience in the healthcare or insurance industry.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to the healthcare and insurance sectors, including those from state Departments of Insurance and CMS.
• Ability to research and analyze state laws and regulations.
• Understanding of insurance products, including policy and certificate language.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft 365 (Office) applications, such as Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and task-oriented, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
