
Senior Insurance Defense Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Handles moderate to high complexity cases with significant exposure and/or those that present unique legal or procedural challenges, managing all tasks from intake through trial and/or settlement.
• Serves as the primary attorney at various legal proceedings, including hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Formulates strategies and arguments to ensure thorough preparation for trial.
• Leverages knowledge of legal precedents to evaluate the likely outcomes of cases.
• Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to cases.
• Completes or oversees all necessary tasks to ensure effective client representation.
• Collaborates with the Claims Executive team to provide legal strategy recommendations concerning personal injury claims.
• Offers guidance to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Interprets relevant industry laws, rulings, and regulations.
• Functionally supervises attorneys participating in case handling as part of their professional development.
• Mentors and provides guidance with the freedom to explore and learn.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant states upon hire.
• A minimum of seven years of litigation experience is required.
• Experience in insurance defense, personal injury, and/or jury trials is mandatory.
• Strong preference for candidates with first and second chair trial experience in bodily injury litigation.
• Preference for candidates with multistate jurisdictional practice experience.
• Annual bonus potential of up to 20% of the salary.
