Senior Innovation Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take the lead on intricate Horizon Europe proposals, guiding them from initial strategy and concept formulation to final submission.

• Craft and evaluate the Excellence, Impact, and Implementation sections with compelling, evaluator-focused narratives.

• Establish project frameworks, work packages, deliverables, milestones, budgets, and implementation strategies.

• Coordinate with international consortia, technical contributors, and stakeholders throughout the proposal development process.

• Provide clients with insights on funding opportunities, program positioning, call requirements, and long-range funding strategies.

• Convert complex scientific and technical data into clear, persuasive, and commercially relevant applications.

• Manage senior client relationships, challenge existing assumptions, and offer strategic recommendations.

• Assist in business development, mentor colleagues, and review and enhance their work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of pertinent professional experience in grant writing, innovation consultancy, European funding, or a closely related domain.

• Significant hands-on experience with Horizon Europe and/or Horizon 2020 proposals.

• Proven ability to independently lead competitive proposals from concept through to submission.

• Authentic consulting experience, including responsibility for client relationships and complex projects.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Capable of articulating complex scientific and technical ideas clearly.

• Strong scientific, technical, or innovation literacy and an eagerness to quickly grasp unfamiliar technologies.

• Competent in working credibly across life sciences, health, agrifood, bio-based industries, energy, environment, and industrial innovation.

• Highly self-sufficient, commercially astute, and collaborative in approach.

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
