Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Postgres

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the reliability and operations of ClickHouse’s Postgres integration, including upgrades, patching, maintenance, and scaling.

• Design and execute automation processes for provisioning, deployments, and service lifecycle management across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Create infrastructure-as-code utilizing Terraform and contemporary CI/CD tools to guarantee consistent and repeatable deployments.

• Contribute to Go-based tools and services that enhance automation, observability, and the developer experience.

• Take charge of observability and monitoring, ensuring comprehensive alerting, metrics, and tracing throughout environments.

• Lead incident management and postmortem processes that reinforce reliability and foster learning loops.

• Work collaboratively with platform, networking, and product teams to enhance service operability.

• Mentor and empower engineers, facilitating effective scaling of the team as customer adoption increases.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, with a proven history of managing distributed, production-grade systems.

• Strong understanding of Postgres operations, including scaling and performance optimization.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, along with familiarity with GCP and Azure; adept at navigating multi-cloud environments.

• Proficient in Terraform, Kubernetes, and container-based infrastructure.

• Strong skills in Go development (or a willingness to write and maintain production Go code).

• Familiarity with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or similar alternatives.

• Comprehensive understanding of SLOs, incident response, and continuous improvement in service reliability.
