Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and enhance the cloud infrastructure that Webflow's product and engineering teams rely on, which includes our compute layer, EKS fleet, networking, and cloud operations across AWS and GCP.

• Design and uphold the networking framework that interconnects Webflow's services, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability throughout our cloud environments.

• Establish and enforce guardrails surrounding IAM, SCPs, and permission scoping to maintain infrastructure security and auditability while minimizing delays for engineers.

• Lead FinOps initiatives across Webflow's cloud presence, taking ownership of cost attribution, right-sizing recommendations, and identifying waste before it escalates into an issue.

• Collaborate with Infra teams on the selection of instance types, capacity planning, and right-sizing decisions that influence application performance.

• Develop and sustain AI-driven automation that enhances our management of cloud infrastructure, including policy-as-code, drift detection, and LLM-assisted runbook generation.

• Contribute to shaping the culture of this expanding team as it broadens its international footprint.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a background as an infrastructure or cloud engineer with a passion for automation and coding, or as a software engineer with a strong interest in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.

• Have over 5 years of experience managing and operating cloud infrastructure in a customer-facing environment with minimal to no downtime.

• Demonstrate extensive hands-on experience with AWS and possess a well-informed perspective on effective cloud operations.

• Have experience in managing Kubernetes clusters at scale, including upgrades, node group management, autoscaling, and lifecycle management of cluster add-ons.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform, and a strong preference for implementing changes through code rather than consoles.

• Experience navigating multi-region or multi-cloud environments on AWS or GCP.

• Maintain a curious and growth-oriented mindset, showing a proactive approach to AI, while actively acquiring and applying knowledge of emerging technologies to enhance our workflows, accelerate outcomes, and broaden our collective impact.
