Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of complex infrastructure incidents, from detection to resolution and post-incident review, ensuring accountability for technical outcomes, stability, and thorough documentation.

• Spearhead the investigation and resolution of critical incidents, facilitating coordination among internal teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders.

• Make informed technical decisions and take comprehensive ownership of infrastructure issues, driving resolution independently without the need for further escalation.

• Oversee the technical delivery of infrastructure projects, including scoping, estimation, design, and implementation.

• Conduct root cause analysis and formulate long-term remediation strategies to prevent recurrence of issues.

• Validate and endorse infrastructure changes, designs, and remediation strategies.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

• Contribute to the creation of architecture documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.

• Design and implement automation and process enhancements to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

• Engage in change management and project planning activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of IT experience.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• At least 8 years of experience in supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.

• Extensive experience with virtualization, storage, operating systems, and cloud platforms.

• Strong background in troubleshooting complex multi-system infrastructure issues.

• Experience in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.

• Preferred certifications include VMware VCP, Microsoft, or cloud infrastructure certifications.

• Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, with exposure to ITIL-based service delivery models.

• Proven experience in delivering customer-facing IT infrastructure projects.

• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure technologies such as VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).

• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), covering infrastructure design, administration, and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and enterprise storage platforms.

• Knowledge of identity platforms (Active Directory, Okta), firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco FTD), and backup/disaster recovery solutions is a plus.
