This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead the due diligence for Outside Plant (OSP) projects. Act as the primary authority on OSP due diligence for new deployments, including site assessment, provider qualification, and risk identification.
β’ Establish yourself as a leader within the design team and serve as a liaison to the Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil disciplines to ensure effective coordination on connectivity pathways. Position our team for success by being the internal expert on clear pathway requirements and constraints. This role offers significant visibility for career advancement as our business expands rapidly.
β’ Responsible for fiber distribution design. Manage fiber distribution designs and adapt them for each project based on specific deployment factors such as scale, phasing, and site topology.
β’ Make conduit sizing decisions related to fiber ingress, inter-data hall connections, and the selection of pathway types. Supervise the sizing of pre-cabled trunks.
β’ Coordinate cable tray loading and bonding/grounding. Take charge of cable tray loading calculations and facilitate collaboration between the OSP provider and Armada's electrical engineers who oversee telecom bonding and grounding (TGB, TBB).
β’ Manage pre-construction submittals, including action submittals (technical approvals, product data, drawings, etc.) to ensure adherence to project requirements.
β’ A valuable opportunity to build your resume by supporting the SE lead technical sales efforts for high-impact campus opportunities with planned deployments ranging from 20MW to over 50MW, and deal sizes averaging $200MM or more.
β’ BICSI RCDD certification, along with ANSI and BICSI credentials.
β’ Proven experience in leading complex OSP fiber projects from groundbreaking to acceptance, including multi-mile pathway construction, high-count fiber pulls, and splice coordination.
β’ Familiarity with NEC standards and knowledge of TGB and TBB.
β’ Competency in TIA standards, including TIA-942, TIA-568, and ISO/IEC 11801 international structured cabling.
β’ Capability to lead initiatives and manage teams. Drive design objectives in collaboration with ICT product, design, and installation partners. Engage with manufacturers to facilitate design implementation when required.
