Senior IBM i Developer – RPG, ILE RPG

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain EDI applications on IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries) platforms.

• Develop and optimize solutions utilizing RPG, ILE RPG, CL, IFS, and SQL.

• Execute system-level and structured programming adhering to best practices for performance, stability, and maintainability.

• Integrate and sustain both existing and new customers within the ISIS ERP system.

• Implement and assist with 3PL Distribution Center (DC) warehouse integrations.

• Ensure smooth EDI process integration among customers, partners, and logistics providers.

• Participate in daily EDI project status meetings with project leadership to communicate priorities, progress, risks, and dependencies.

• Analyze requirements, develop technical concepts, and convert business needs into robust technical solutions while collaborating with the International Delivery Manager to align Processes and Solutions.

• Support production systems, conduct troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Work collaboratively with international teams across IT, EDI, logistics, and business operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience as an IBM i / AS/400 / iSeries developer.

• Strong expertise in RPG and ILE RPG.

• Solid experience in system programming IFS and structured programming methodologies.

• Proven track record in integrating EDI processes, customers, and logistics partners.

• Familiarity with 3PL / warehouse / distribution center (DC) processes.

• Strong understanding of database concepts (DB2 for i) and SQL.

• Ability to thrive in complex, mission-critical, high-availability environments.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.

• Proficient in English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Basic knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12).
