Senior Human Factors Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Play an active role in shaping usability engineering and support design validation within agile development projects, spanning from the initial concept to market introduction.

• Plan and execute realistic user testing, both internally and externally, with a strong emphasis on user involvement, including thorough documentation and adherence to relevant standards.

• Advocate for the user perspective by providing essential input during the requirements gathering and risk assessment phases.

• Intentionally apply your expertise throughout the development process.

• Independently manage complex work packages, oversee both internal and external partners, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.

• Compile and prepare all necessary documentation for international market approvals (e.g., EU, USA, China) to facilitate product certifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed Master's degree, preferably in Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, or an engineering/natural sciences field with a focus on Human Factors.

• Several years of relevant experience in developing medical devices or in vitro diagnostics.

• Strong proficiency in planning and conducting user testing.

• Experience collaborating with internal and external partners and deriving actionable recommendations for design improvements.

• Comfortable in an agile, fast-paced environment; solution-oriented, able to contribute innovative ideas while acting responsibly.

• Excellent communication skills, with a confident demeanor and fluent business-level English, both written and spoken.
