
Senior Healthcare Payer Performance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate intricate contract terms for physicians, facilities, and ancillary services, alongside claims data, fee schedules, and reimbursement results
• Create data-centric analyses to uncover trends, variances, discrepancies, and the financial or operational impacts
• Conduct root-cause analysis on issues related to contract configuration, interpretation, reimbursement, and claims processing
• Utilize Excel and business intelligence or analytics tools to organize, validate, interpret, summarize, and showcase healthcare data
• Lead analytical workstreams, synthesize outcomes, prepare deliverables, and present conclusions and recommendations
• Collaborate with contracting, reimbursement, operations, analytics, and leadership teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Handle multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, sound judgment, and timely deliverables
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field
• 5–7+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, reimbursement analytics, contract management, managed care, revenue cycle, payer/provider contracting, or related healthcare operations
• Solid understanding of healthcare reimbursement principles, provider and payer contract language, fee schedules, contract interpretation, and payment outcomes
• Experience in performing payment variance analysis, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution within a healthcare environment
• Advanced analytical and critical-thinking abilities for assessing large or complex data sets and translating insights into actionable recommendations
• Strong familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare coding concepts, including CPT, HCPCS, ICD, and revenue codes
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and Office applications
• Experience with business intelligence, reporting, or analytics tools is preferred
• Exceptional written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
• Capability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage high-complexity analytical tasks, and communicate risks, findings, and recommendations
• Experience with FinThrive is a plus
• Familiarity with Epic is also a plus
