This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Provide administrative and budgetary assistance to Principal Investigators for the management of pre-award grants and contracts.

• Evaluate funding opportunities and prepare as well as submit proposals for grants and contracts.

• Oversee electronic submissions of grants through grants.gov, NSF Fastlane, and various foundation web applications.

• Create budgets and engage in financial planning for research and sponsored project proposals.

• Prepare, review, negotiate, and manage extramural awards.

• Draft subagreements, consulting contracts, and legal documents such as CDAs, MTAs, and Data Use agreements.

• Act as the functional lead within the Office of Grants and Contracts.

• Mentor, train, and assign responsibilities among the OGC staff.

• Facilitate communication between research institute management, accounting, investigators, and external organizations.

• Develop policies, procedures, contract templates, and business forms while ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines.

• Monitor issues impacting sponsored programs and regulatory compliance.

• Assist in the annual budget process and generate ad hoc reports for management.

• Perform additional responsibilities as needed or requested by the manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree, or relevant experience and/or education in lieu of a bachelor's degree as determined by the company.

• At least 4 years of required experience.

• Capability to interpret and apply AHN, ASRI, federal, and state policies related to contract and grant administration.

• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects based on submission timelines.

• Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Proven ability to resolve complex grant issues involving the interpretation of policies and procedures.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance under varying workloads and changing deadlines.

• Competence in making sound judgments and decisions.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex policies and procedures.

• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Public Health Service Policies, and OMB Circulars A-122 and A-133.

• Experience with electronic grant submissions via grants.gov and NSF Fastlane.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

• A master's degree is preferred.

• Certification as a Research Administrator (CRA) is preferred.

• Experience in implementing, modifying, or adapting systems, databases, and processes is preferred.

• Must adhere to HIPAA, data security guidelines, the Code of Business Conduct, applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and training requirements.
