This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), Program Staff, Contracts, Human Resources, the Joint Office of Research Administration (JORA), and Sponsor Projects Financial Operations (SPFO) to offer analysis and management of grants and revenue-generating agreements.
• Oversee the financial management of designated cost centers, which include multi-year grants, gifts, contracts, and other funding sources.
• Ensure that the management of grants for all awards and the financial operations of the Centers & Institutes are executed on time, within the defined scope of work and budget, and uphold the highest standards of quality.
• Verify that reports adhere to accounting practices and comply with federal regulations and guidelines.
• Responsible for providing the PIs in their portfolio with the essential financial analysis and guidance necessary for making informed decisions throughout the duration of the award.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience within an academic research environment or a non-profit organization is required.
• Proficiency in grant and contract administration in either a higher education or non-profit context is desirable.
• Experience in budget preparation and budget justifications; capability to advise faculty members and proposal preparation staff on the appropriateness of budgeted items.
