This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska, +3 more states.
• The Senior Government Sales Representative serves as the main field representative for the Medtronic Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) Government Strategic Programs within a designated geographic area.
• This role is responsible for promoting and expanding the strategic segments of the ACM portfolio, which includes Acute Care & Patient Monitoring device sales and Digital Health Home solutions, at VA Medical Centers (VAMCs), DoD Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), and Indian Health Service accounts in their region.
• The individual will focus on establishing relationships, progressing opportunities, and providing value across a wide federal account landscape.
• This position combines clinical sales with program management, necessitating proficiency in both medical device and digital health sectors within the same territory.
• Facilitate technology upgrade cycles within the existing customer base; pinpoint opportunities to transition clients to current-generation monitoring platforms.
• Oversee VA Facility-level, VISN-level, and MTF relationships in collaboration with the National Key Account Manager — VA and both commercial sales and clinical teams.
• Uphold precise CRM pipeline management across all product lines; refresh accounts and opportunities on a weekly basis.
• Ensure that all federal engagements adhere to FAR/VAAR regulations and Medtronic's government contracting policies.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 8+ years of experience* OR an Associate’s Degree AND 6+ years of experience* OR a Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience*
• Relevant experience in sales, clinical roles, or related fields in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Previous sales experience in VA, DoD/Defense Health Agency, or other federal health account settings.
• Experience in selling capital medical equipment, patient monitoring devices, or digital health/remote patient monitoring solutions in a clinical environment.
• Understanding of federal procurement processes, including Federal Supply Schedule (FSS/MAS) contract vehicles, VISN-level standardization procedures, and eBuy/SAM.gov platforms.
• Proven ability to navigate multi-stakeholder clinical accounts (Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Anesthesiology, Procurement) within large institutional healthcare systems.
• A history of competitive displacement or account conversion in a medical device or healthcare technology sales context.
• Knowledge of Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) programs.
• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and disciplined pipeline management methodologies.
• Familiarity with patient-monitoring platforms or airway-management/perioperative solutions is highly preferred.
