Senior Golang Developer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain backend services using Go (Golang) within a contemporary product setting.

• Develop features guided by comprehensive product requirements, working closely with Product Managers and Designers to refine scope, intent, and anticipated functionality.

• Assume full responsibility for the entire development lifecycle, which includes coding, testing, creating pull requests, and deploying features to production.

• Author and uphold automated tests to guarantee code quality and reliability.

• Operate within rapid CI/CD pipelines, where code may be deployed to production shortly following approval.

• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in a completely remote environment, emphasizing autonomy and accountability.

• Recognize obstacles early and proactively seek clarification or assistance when necessary.

• Participate in technical discussions and strive to enhance engineering practices and product quality.

• Utilize AI-driven development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to boost productivity and improve code quality.

• Strong expertise in Go (Golang) – this is a non-negotiable requirement for external candidates.

• Robust experience in developing backend systems and APIs within a production context.

• Background in product-centric engineering teams as opposed to purely delivery or outsourcing environments.

• Knowledge of modern development practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, preferably AWS (deep infrastructure knowledge is not essential).

• Experience incorporating AI development tools into the engineering process.

• Capability to function effectively in a high-autonomy setting with minimal oversight.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a sense of ownership.

• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
