Senior Go / Kubernetes Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and develop a control plane based on Go that powers the Kubernetes lifecycle platform.

• Manage numerous Kubernetes clusters across various locations.

• Implement a cluster registry and state model for sites, hardware types, clusters, nodes, capacity, and health.

• Establish bootstrap workflows to convert newly booted bare-metal nodes into Kubernetes-ready nodes.

• Ensure the reliability of the control plane using etcd or an equivalent strongly consistent state.

• Develop local site agents that remain functional during temporary outages of the central control plane.

• Create integration contracts with the OS image layer and workload orchestration layer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior-level Go engineering experience in infrastructure or distributed systems.

• Profound experience with the Kubernetes platform, including cluster lifecycle, node lifecycle, controllers, RKE2/K3s, etcd, upgrades, and failure recovery.

• Experience in designing reliable state models, reconciliation loops, high-availability systems, and event replay mechanisms.

• Strong knowledge of gRPC/REST APIs, protobufs, and versioned service contracts.

• Practical debugging experience in production environments involving Kubernetes, Linux, networking, and distributed state.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
