Senior Go Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and manage Go microservices.

• Integrate secure-by-design measures into your code, including input validation, encryption during transmission and at rest, and secrets management using LFS-approved methods.

• Take ownership of the complete lifecycle of your tasks: design, development, testing, and deployment to non-production environments.

• Engage in code reviews as both an active reviewer and author; ensure the implementation of code provenance markers for AI-assisted tasks and sign-offs from human reviewers.

• Collaborate daily with the Business Analyst to ensure clarity on stories and with the Quality Assurance Engineer on test scenarios, test data, and automation integration.

• Lead hands-on AI-assisted delivery utilizing tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor; provide substantial evidence to support the squad’s narrative of a 35% delivery enhancement.

• Participate in iteration ceremonies based in Manila and contribute to showcase demonstrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical software engineering experience, including more than 2 years of delivering production Go (Golang) microservices for enterprise clients.

• Extensive experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, KMS, VPC).

• Strong instincts for observability and reliability.

• Adhere to a test-first methodology: unit, contract, and integration tests should be treated as primary deliverables rather than afterthoughts.

• Regular hands-on experience with AI-native engineering tools like Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor, along with concrete examples of workflow improvements.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English; capable of effective collaboration across the Manila and Melbourne time zones.
